Simplifying complex featuresWeb3 products introduce new security features that can overwhelm users. To address this, I integrated educational screens to guide users through key security measures and implemented quizzes for sensitive elements like mnemonic phrases. I collaborated with our UX researcher to test the copy and refined it based on user feedback to ensure comprehension.

Streamlining user choicesTo guide users toward selecting the "Easy Bank Transfer" (real-time payment) option without overwhelming them, we redesigned the interface to present just three key details for each method. I worked closely with the designer to create wireframes that simplified the comparison process, using a "Best overall" label to subtly highlight the optimal choice. This approach led to a significant increase in adoption. Throughout the process, I collaborated with our UX researcher to ensure the copy was clear and focused, continuously refining it based on user feedback.

Reducing user anxietyWithout instant settlement, users were prone to anxiety over their transaction status. To address this, we introduced time-stamped status updates to keep users informed and reassured that their transaction is progressing as expected. I worked closely with the product manager to ensure timestamps were prompt and conducted user testing to gather feedback, refining the design to improve clarity.

Guiding through redesignsUsers struggled to find and use features after they were changed. To address this, we developed feature introduction components within the design system that guide users through redesigns and new features. I analyzed past user feedback to pinpoint areas that caused confusion and collaborated with product managers and engineers to ensure the components were easy to edit and implement across future updates.

Adapting for mobileAdapting a web-based product for mobile required rethinking the user flow while keeping essential features accessible. We moved the "Confirm Order" function to a drawer and simplified the on-screen text for a cleaner experience. I collaborated with the designer to revamp the main screens and conducted a content audit, refining the copy to match the tone and voice I developed for the product.
